The Bellingham Path Dash #2 was a hoot-and-a-half! We promised some goofy/ hectic racing with plenty of heats for everyone, and that is exactly what happened. Shop Manager, Nate Braks, used his "Spokane" style point system to divide the riders into 4 different brackets based on how riders performed in their first 3 heats, then moved each bracket into single elimination from there. This provided 4 different podiums with people of all different levels of riding competing for prizes. While it was definitely a kind-of kooky method of making up heats, it made for some super interesting finals heats in all 4 brackets of riding. On top of there being 4 different prize podiums, one of which walked away with over $100 in prize money, all of this years sponsors hooked it up huge on swag. As a result, pretty much everyone that attended walked away with some sweet new gear. Shenanigans at this year's event included tiny board practice heats, full contact heats, strange starting line methods, and kids crashing into fences and ditches.

There were many close calls on the right hand corner we call the"grom cannon".
Pretty much everyone was holding on for dear life in the first right.
The local groms were out ripping in full force!
Boardworks owner Johnny Lupo took a few practice runs before the race began.
The "grom cannon" corner did not disappoint, and claimed a few victims this year.
