RECAP | "Burnt Pineapple" Video Premier

Posted by on

Boardworks Tech Shop was privilaged as the only U.S. skate shop to premier Calvin Skinner's first full length longboard skate video, Burnt Pineapple, which he produced through the East Coast Cooperative out of Australia. The premier was part of Calivin's "Big Dip 2" Tour.  The tour is traveling from Australia, to California, to Washington, to Canada, and back, hitting up skate shop video premiers for his new film and skating epic roads and events.

If you are unfamiliar with Calvin Skinner, you should get yourself acquainted. The dude has been killing it both on his board and from behind a camera for the East Coast Cooperative and his sponsors: Remember Collective and Luxe Trucks. You can check out some of his skating and video work through his vlog, Remember Collective's YouTube channel, and the East Coast Cooperative website (which he designed by the way).

At any rate, the premier was a rad time full of free pizza, sweet raffle prizes, discounted gear, and of course stoked skaters watching rad footage. After our eyeballs were graced with the sight of sick Australian gnar gnar, we were all fiending to skate some hills. So we packed up the cars and skated some mellow local freeride runs with all the homies. It rained us out pretty much everywhere we went, but we kept chasing the dry around Bellingham and persevered. That is the north west for you!

Make sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page and Instagram account for updates on events! And check out the East Coast Cooperative and Burnt Pineapple when it is officially web-released!
