The Boardworks team made their first trip down to Maryhill Freeride to kick off the season and had an absolute rip! For many of our younger riders on the the "grom squad" it was their very first maryhill ever. With amazing weather, killer tail winds, and both new and old skateboarding friends from all over the planet, it was a pretty stellar first time maryhill experience.
One of our more experienced riders, Austin James Harrel, played the role of "on hill skate Dad", bumping the munchkins down the hill and through the hectic packs of skaters. Austin is no Maryhill rookie, so the kid-os were in good hands.
Both Joel and Oliver used the Ninja Arms a little liberally. But hey, they are kids. Can you blame them?
Eli, despite being the youngest on the team, found himself leading many packs over the weekend. He is just so slingshot-able!
Nate Braks, our Shop Manager, accompanied the team and filmed all weekend. He mostly looked like a grump and hung out in his sleeping bag all weekend, but he got some killer shots.
