Boardworks Tech Shop is the core boardshop you’ve been searching for. We operate unlike any other shop around, and we prefer it that way. This is a shop for the core snowboarder and splitboarder. Although we are still beginner friendly, we cater to the more experienced riders that have already found a passion for the sport. Boardworks has been rider owned and operated from day one. We only sell what we would ride ourselves and we only carry products that we can confidently stand behind. We are boarders first, and salesmen second.
Our main focus is on gear maintenance. This shop offers a craft that is vital to our sport while still providing a solid gear supply and dedicated staff who know their stuff. We do more tune, repair, vintage restoration, and custom splitboard builds than any other shop in the country. If we can’t fix your board or skis, it simply can’t be fixed. To back up our work, we are one of the only shops around that offers a guarantee on our repairs. If your repair fails within a full calendar year or 100 riding days (whichever comes first), it will get redone for free, no questions asked. Thats how confident we are in what we do.
Boardworks is also one of the most community involved shops in all of Washington. We host numerous events of all sorts throughout the season such as our annual Box Jam, other collaborative rail jams, wax clinics, free wax days for students, etc. On top of all that, we also sponsor just about every snowboard related event that happens in town, as well as at our home mountain, Mt. Baker. If there is something local going on that brings our snowboard community together, we try to be apart of it. Our shop takes a lot of pride in our work. We absolutely love what we do, and this job is fun for us. We run a small, selective, 3-5 person crew. With such a small employee roster, every customer that comes into our store is guaranteed to get the knowledge and attention they deserve. With that being said, we do not care how cool you are. We don’t care if you are the best shredder on the planet, or if you are totally fresh to the sport. Come in with a positive attitude, and we will go out of our way to make you feel comfortable and give you the best service we can. If you act like a “cool-guy” or have a bad attitude, we will have no problem giving you directions to the shop at the mall.
