Korua Shapes Otto Snowboard

Boardworks Breakdown:

If you want the side-hittable, jibable, do-whatever-you-wantable Korua board, the Otto is a killer option. While it does not offer as much float and charge-ability as some of the other boards in Korua's line, it is a super fun, playful option that can still get after it.

Manufacturer Description:

Inspired and influenced by our park-oriented ambassadors, the Otto is a freestyle-focused carving board with a twin-like shape and a slightly softer flex and torsion than our other classic line boards. These qualities make it a super playful ride on snow and in the air, ideal for carving in and out of side-hits, hitting park features, and creative cruising all over the hill. It’s a perfect fit for riders who want to focus on their turns without sacrificing freestyle performance.

With the most tail in our classic line, this board is loaded with pop! The neutral taper and smaller setback also allow for easy switch riding and landings, and the float camber profile combined with our KORUA side-cut make the Otto one of our most versatile all-mountain shapes. The rounded nose and tail prevent hooking up on rails and let you spin your helicopters.

This chart shows the range in what each size can handle. It is never our intention to categorize riders and their preferences. Our philosophy of snowboarding is to try new shapes, lengths, widths, and to keep an open mind for alternative riding experiences; however, we do have some limits to consider so that your board will work as it was designed to.

Your weight plays a major role in how the board will flex, and your shoe size will affect toe and heel drag when turning. The below size chart is for reference only, as our recommendations may vary depending on your stance and riding ability.

    Camber Profile

The Transition Finder features our FLOAT CAMBER, which curves into a rocker shape in the nose. This profile provides excellent float in deep powder while maintaining speed throughout the turn. The camber underfoot offers extra pop for air-time and great stability for carving on-piste, while the early rise in the nose allows for easy initiation of turns.

Biaxial fiberglass, UV laquer topsheet, poplar light wood core and a high-end perlatec base is the tried-and-tested combination of our durable materials we use to enable that perfect turn.
