Kulshan Brewing provided some tasty beverages for those old enough to partake.
If you aren't familiar with Weston and you enjoy spending time in the mountains on a snowboard or splitboard, you should probably get acquainted. Since 2012, Weston has been building bomb-proof splitboards, skis & snowboards, loving Mother Earth, fostering community, supporting important causes, spreading backcountry education, dirt bagging, slaying pow, and chasing freedom. There is a reason the Weston Backwoods is one of our best-selling solids and splitboards: It pretty much does everything well, especially at Baker.
It's is safe to say that the Avalanche Basics class at Boardworks hosted by the American Alpine Institute and Weston Snowboards was even more of a success than we hoped for. By the time the talk started, it was standing room only and we had to ask latecomers to come back at 8:00 pm for a second session because there simply was not enough room.

A huge thank you to the Alpine Institute for presenting, Weston for organizing, and Kulshan for sponsoring the event with delicious beer.
And of course, a big thanks to everyone who attended. It was great to see so many people interested in traveling the backcountry safely.
Keep an eye out for more avalanche safety events at Boardworks!
